Future DatesA gondola across the valley from Telfes

Musik-Brücken will be held once again June 19-27, 2011.  The dates are tentative.

Location

A village of 600 people, Telfes, Austria is located in the Austrian Alps, only twenty minutes from historic Innsbruck. Telfes is the sunniest town in the Stubai Valley, at the heart of a holiday paradise in green. The traditions of this Tyrolean Valley are deeply rooted, and have remained authentic. Mountain chalets, adorned with flowers in every window, look out upon lush meadows and towering peaks. The local amateur band, performing weekly in the Telfes outdoor theatre, contrasts with the quiet beauty of this Tyrolean paradise.

Purpose

This pristine location promises a unique and effective center for chamber & choral musicians from around the world to come together in the use of their God given gifts. It is an opportunity for artists to join together for the discussion God's written Word in daily Bible study, to share God's gift of music in area schools and churches, and to fellowship with and develop relationships with those from diverse cultural backgrounds.

A 2009 student enjoying her gift from AIAMusik-Brücken participants will arrive in Telfes in June of 2011 for a week of chamber music [see Faculty page]. This week will be packed with rehearsals, lessons, performances, outdoor recreation, sightseeing, and Bible discussion [see an example of the Daily Schedule].

Our intention for the Musik-Brücken is to change lives, not just enjoy a beautiful location.

Music Ministers Experience AIA 2011

We welcome interested Music Ministers for "Experience Musik-Brücken" in 2011. Do you believe your ministries can find a place in the Musik-Brücken ministry? You will walk through the normal schedule of Musik-Brücken as you perform in churches and schools and while you study God's Word in relation to the church universal in Europe. Please email the Kelly Dehnert (Director) or Mark Chambers (Assistant Director) if interested in this unique opportunity for outreach and relationship building.
